It seems that in fixing the batch extraction issue for games with “:” in their names, I introduced a new, minor bug. When you extract a single game, the filename is incorrect.
I’ve replaced the CodePlex download with a fixed version.
Blog for tracking updates to WBFS Manager for Wii.

In Spain the decimal separator is comma, so when you export the game list to csv there is a problem. Can you answer the csv separator between fields? The most compatible to Excel is Tab.
ReplyDeleteAnother one: Can you put out the units in the size field (GB)?
And the last one. If you want to export to Excel you can use XML. You can put all data in a text file in XML format. Open an Excel file and save it like XML. If you open it then with a text editor you can see what you need to do the XML Excel file, and if you generate it with xls extension, Excel will open it like an normal Excel file.
I suggest you to take a look to the Wbfs Inteligent Gui v.5 features... I like more WFS Manager GUI :-).
ReplyDeleteThe Game Size estimation is off. I just installed Little Kings Story, the estimated size showed 0.02GB but was actually 4.02GB
ReplyDeletePlease redownload WBFS Manager 2.5 if you want the correct size to be displayed, I've fixed that error (as mentioned in the blog post prior to this one)
ReplyDeleteclone 2 hard drives will take ages.
ReplyDeleteI would like option to extract a compressed iso.
ReplyDeleteJpref - I agree with the posting above. it would be a great feature to save space.
ReplyDeleteCloning takes forever (over 8 hours so far to do 99 games - it still has 81 to go, and that's with one of the drives connected via eSATA and the other via USB), but it's a great feature. If you can speed it up by implementing a direct hard drive to hard drive clone (byte for byte), it would be even better. Thanks for the hard work.
ReplyDeleteAnother useful would be to be able to change the disc ID of a game. There are heaps of custom Guitar Hero games and most of them use the same ID as the original Guitar Hero III disc - if we could change the disc ID, it would allow us to load the custom Guitar Hero games onto the WBFS partition, and it would also mean a separate save game would be created instead of overwriting the GHIII save game.
ReplyDeleteThis app allows the ID to be changed:

Of course, your app is my preferred app, but it is lacking this feature.
Further to my comment above, simply changing the disc ID doesn't actually change the save game file it looks for. If you are wanting to change a custom GH ISO so it uses a separate save game file, use TheGHOST:

Sorry - I realise this isn't specific to WBFS Manager, but I just wanted to correct my comment that changing the disc ID would mean separate save game files for custom GH, when in fact it doesn't.
A usuful thing...would to be able to backup an entire wbfs disk an extract all isos to another disk (another wbfs disk (it's implemented) and another no wbfs disk) compressed with wiiscrubbed and rar/7z/zip....
ReplyDelete...maybe an "export to" generate a php/mysql database to publish the list of games...like the "export to csv"...
thanks wbfs manager it's the best wfbs app for win!!
Another suggestion....add wiiware an homebrew wbfs disk?
ReplyDeleteOK, have an issue with using your software and connecting the drive using eSATA. Any chance of getting eSATA support ? The HDD is partitioned (WBFS/NTFS) both partitions are visible using USB and eSATA but I can only access the WBFS partition via USB. eSATA gives an error "An error occured accessing the drive, ensure its formatted..."
ReplyDeleteThe motherboard is an ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe, running Vista64. I believe the eSATA is sat on the "Marvell 88SE6111" http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=M3A79-T%20Deluxe
Not sure if this is at all possible but thanks for the software either way.
ps/ there is also something odd going on with the image downloads. (some images are different sizes)
Ignore my last regarding eSATA.. Its been a long day at the office and I was not running the shortcut as Admin.
ReplyDeleteOut of interest the one placed on desktop during install cannot be right clicked to select "run as admin" (the option just isnt there).
I have to manually create one from the install location.
when i load the usb channal i get a code dump????????
